Moving images

Moving images are something I simply aspire to create. Part of why I make them is that the feedback I get from making them is so much fun—more so than watching them. Of all the forms of expression I have tried, this feels the most rewarding, and I never get bored with it.

I think what I like is compositing. Taking different themes and elements and arranging them nicely, a bit like packing a bento box. I feel that comes through most in moving images. The posters I make often have that bento-like quality, too.

There are a few flavors I want to eat, and I think about how they go together. Rather than making one ultimate dish, I eat the things I want to eat together. That is what making moving images is like for me, and I like moving images because I like eating that way.
